Over 4 generations our family has launched, operated and grown successful businesses.
What started as a small retail store in 1946, over time developed into several separate regional businesses and a national brand. To date we have transacted $3.5b+ in sales, opened 160+ retail locations, hired 4,000+ people, put hundreds of service vehicles and technicians on the road and own and operate multiple manufacturing facilities. We have acquired and merged businesses, partnered with private equity (multiple times) and have sold businesses.
While things change over the years, the early lessons still hold true: treat your customers and staff like gold. Offer both quality AND value. Adapt and evolve, all while staying true to your principles. And of course the family favorite: there’s absolutely no substitute for hard work.
The greatest lesson we have learned is that great things are never accomplished alone. We have had the incredible good fortune to have been surrounded and supported by family, partners, investors, mentors and advisors who have helped us every step of the way. Having the right people in our corner allowed us to build far more than we could have ever imagined. We are forever grateful and it is with this mindset that we created AssistCo.

We are really, really good at starting businesses. We know what it takes. We are also really, really good at understanding how to grow strong existing businesses into great businesses with scale.
We started AssistCo because we know that without the right capital, guidance and support too many incredible entrepreneurs won’t get their fair shot and too many great small businesses will never grow to their full potential. It is our passion and business to share what we know and help in both scenarios.
